Our parent company, Equipment & Controls, Inc., the leading regional provider of process control and automation solutions, is opening a new service center in Salem, WV. The new facility will specialize in total valve repair ranging from control valves to isolation valves as well as safety relief testing and repair.
“There has been a tremendous build out of Natural Gas related infrastructure in this area. Our industrial and gas customers in the region deserve a more local service presence and we are excited to provide that,” said Dan Smith, ECI President & CEO.
“Our experienced technicians will be based in Salem – enabling immediate response. This is a pressing concern because the impact of a valve in need of repair can extend to an entire production line or plant. As a native West Virginian and a graduate of WVU, I am personally excited to expand our local capabilities in this manner.”
To meet the current service needs along the Route 50 corridor and surrounding area, ECI is transferring one employee from its existing services facilities and plans to hire five technicians locally.
“Local repair and testing services coupled with industry-leading solutions and well-trained subject matter experts will give customers throughout the area the ability to reduce repair costs and downtime while leveraging our resources to assist with improved business outcomes,” Smith added. “We are excited to be a part of this region and provide services that will help the local industrial community continue to thrive.”
The new ECI service center is located at 71 Marshville Road in Salem, WV. The building, which had been vacant for nearly a decade, has been completely renovated and outfitted with the tools and equipment needed for control valve, pressure and safety relief valve testing and repair; and well pad automation support. Additionally, support for engine and compressor controls for the natural gas industry will be available through ECI’s PIC-Appalachia division.
ECI invites customers and the local business community to meet the Salem team and tour the new facility during three open house dates: July 26, August 9 and August 23.
