Murray MacKenzie was nominated to the ECI President’s Club because he played a crucial role in delivering a successful customer outcome on a recent project. This project was particularly challenging due to its large scope and timeline, and it was the first project for PHS using the customer’s newest data center model with primarily skid-based equipment.
Murray embraced these challenges and worked diligently to manage the project and keep it on schedule and on budget despite unexpected obstacles. He took the time to understand all aspects of the project and dove head-first into the engineering design, software configuration, and field startup aspects.
Murray’s teamwork and diligent learning enabled him to understand the many nuances of the project and keep the team focused. In addition to helping deliver the successful outcome, the cross-functional knowledge Murray acquired enabled him to successfully negotiate and secure required change orders from the customer.
Beyond his extraordinary effort on this project, Murray is also committed to improving and streamlining processes. He is modernizing the way PHS collects and uses data to track projects. He helped create the first project sites on SharePoint to organize the team and project documentation, making them more accessible to everyone, especially those in the field. He built updated project workflow templates for use across PHS. Murray also helped lead the PHS transition to IFS, increasing everyone’s access to project data, which will help improve project bidding and management.
Murray continues to be a thought leader, finding new ways to use data and offering alternative ideas to the traditional way of doing things at PHS.
Thank you, Murray, for tackling challenges head-on and leading the delivery of successful customer outcomes and for PHS!
